ive seen one homebrew role that generally makes it work and dont see much else that does

Styx (Minion) - Dead evil players might rise, even if you’re dead. The Demon may (once) swap characters with you.

The idea being that it dies then ā€œconfirms itself as not the Demonā€, only to become the Demon later.

Ok here is my script please roast. I was a bit high when I finished it off but the idea is it is like BMR but the roles around the execution survival design-space are replaced with more revival roles. And also all the drunking is replaced with misregistratation because drunking revivals is too much confirmation. And also there is more minion and demon KP to account for more revival.

There’s a couple of actual info roles, all of which might be affected by misregistration on players, but mostly people have to work out why peole died and came back to life.

Townsfolk

Noble
You start knowing 3 players, 1 and only 1 of which is evil.

Brother
You start knowing a good player. The first time you are both dead, one of you is resurrected that night.

Village Idiot
ā€œEach night, choose a player: you learn their alignment. [+0 to +2 Village Idiots. 1 of the extras is drunk]ā€

Gambler
Each night*, choose a player and a role. If incorrect, you die.

Cop
Each night*, choose a player. If good, you learn this and they die. You may register as evil.

Grandfather
Each night*, choose two players. They are protected from death tonight and may register as evil.

Saviour
Each night*, choose a player. If dead, revive them. Chosen townsfolk may be drunk and register as evil.

Exorcist
Each night*, choose a player (different to last night): the Demon, if chosen, learns who you are then doesn’t wake tonight.

El Caro
Each day, visit the storyteller to learn how many dead players are evil.

Gossip
Each day, you may make a public statement. Tonight, if it was true, a player dies.

Homekeep
If both of your dead neighbours are good, one is resurrected.

Better Soldier
You cannot die at night.

Prophet
If you die at night, resurrect the following night and learn an evil player.

Outsiders

Cockroach
Outsiders may be resurrected, even when you are dead.

Abettor
Each night, choose a new living player. You both may register as evil until your next choice, even if dead.

Spectre
When you die, the next executed player must be a different good player or your team lose.

Mourner
You can only, and must, vote if a dead player votes.

Minions

Juliet
When the demon dies the game continues. The following night the demon is resurrected and you die.

Warlock
Once per game, you may resurrect target player. If there are no additional evil, they turn evil.

Rogue
Each night*, choose a player and their role. If correct, they die.

Godfather
You start knowing which Outsiders are in play. If 1 died today, choose a player tonight: they die. [-1 or +1 Outsider]

Demons

Comte
Each night*, choose a player: they die. If yourself, instead register as dead, good & as a Townsfolk or Outsider. You do not kill when registering as dead.

Shabbaloth
Each night*, choose 2 players: they die. A dead player you chose last night might be regurgitated.

Po
Each night*, you may choose a player: they die. If your last choice was no-one, choose 3 players tonight.

Tim
Each night, choose a player: they die. If no alive player was executed yesterday, instead choose two.

the script is very good sided
so many roles make people register as evil, but that only affects, provided they’re alive (which is the only things those roles effect), cop, vi, and prophet (the lattermost of whom is probably useless cause of that)

el caro is just oracle but more inconvenient for really no reason

grandfather is innkeeper but way stronger. registering as evil matters way less on basically every script ever than being drunk

spectre has the potential to be bad but more likely will end up being annoying especially since godfather is the only outsider mod and there’s no character who really is afraid to hide besides them

the only people that can be revived are tf/outsiders/demons, if you don’t want to waste evils one conversion ability

the only revivers juliet can really bluff to explain why their demon has risen go after the demon picks (see standard night order) don’t really work in b1 besides brother, another minion has to play along (and can basically only bluff very conditionally homekeep or brother, or for the demon to bluff prophet). warlock faces the same issue on a smaller scale (and again, needs homekeep or brother or prophet as a bluff), and its basically impossible for comte to fake their death more than once before people keep getting suspicious. and if comte doesn’t come back right away, they’re getting executed when they revive next provided the grandfather/better soldier isn’t very full of themselves

rogue is good but uh. unlike bmr’s philosophy of "hard to find minions, easy to find demons (the opposite is true in snv)"its a very provable minion (thus making the other minions weaker by not being able to pretend to exist) and people can just track unexplained revivials to see who to kill

this should never never ever proc except in f4 which you execute on anyway because its bmr-like

if you max out one VI then duplicate one of those VI’s can you add more VI’s then make one drunk in each seperate group?

if the evil team catches on then its just everyone claiming VI. and too me thats fucking funny
If town is smart they would be able to crack it open.
so it would probably need to be a riot game
