I feel like they’re ‘cheap’ bluffs and it always erks me to see people do it

Saint is just a cheap vluff but sometimes you need a cheap vluff to pass the demon baton

Mayor i disagree is a free bluff since ive seen tons of mayors both real and fake kind of just die before final day but ymmv
The roles of Saint and Mayor are designed to be bluffed and they’re not fair to the evil team if everybody refuses to bluff them

I can understand that as an argument. But the amount of times I see Demons or SWs in a TB just use it to be like ‘And now it’s Final 3 because people never execute saints’ is SIGH. I’ve been the demon who’s been given Saint, Mayor and a top 4 before as bluffs for TB, went ‘Fuck all this, I’m bluffing a non-bluff’

Mayor needs to convince other people it’s town if it wants to win, “if you live to F3 you get a free win because bluffing it is ‘too cheap’” is a bad role. Same goes for Saint. IMO the “I’ll never bluff Mayor” types (not just you, Kiiruma, I’ve seen a lot of people say this) are ruining the design principle of the thing to give themselves an advantage and I’m not a fan

A Good Mayor win in F3 to somebody who does trust-tell Mayor is infinitely cheaper than an evil Mayor bluff IMO
Mayor’s not even a free win for ‘our types’ because we can be drunk, we can be poisoned. The main reason we do it is so we can be trusted because the thing is I’m evil so often and people just meta to exe me on BotCU more than the average person whenever there’s any chance I can be evil so I just want some games where I can be me and relax? To have to considered droison worlds and whatnot.
The roles people do it with are the ones where you are an individual with specific game knowledge that can lead to an instant win/loss because they find it too stressful to legitimately have to convince people of their role on penalty of win/loss, when that’s a part of the core of the game
I think thats a playerbase problem if you’re being executed for rolling evil a lot in past games
