I donāt think anything mechanically disproves otherwise, but I believe his claim.
I mean strigoi aināt exactly much of a threat really, so itās possible.
But I think Zorvo seems to legitimately be making an effort to help us solve a bit.

Early on in the game I thought it was possible that they were just fake claiming it to fake being immune n1. But I believed in their intent to help town. It depends on who they bite though.
