Event Announcement

Dear Valued Citizen,

Please note that the FoL Council is hosting an event today.

The monotonous life on Planet FoL is boring, which reduces the productivity of our people. We can’t have that! Let us use fantasy as a form of escapism!

You are invited to participate in:

Choose Your Own Adventure
Players: 5
Chance of Death: None
Mobile-friendly: Yes
Duration: 40-50 minutes
Discord Access: Not required
Other Notes: N/A

How to Play:

  • The event will take place in a public thread, to be created when the event fills. Only players participating in the event may post.
  • Players will be randed into two teams, a Good team of 4 and 1 Evil Impostor. Roles are private.
  • The party will go through up to 5 scenarios, and each player will publicly vote on what they think the party should do.
  • Each scenario has 2 options. One good and one bad. You don’t know which is which.
  • One of the Good players is the Seer. They start with the knowledge which options are good and which are bad, for all 5 scenarios. So does the Evil Impostor. The other 3 Good Adventurers are uninformed.
  • The objective for the four Good players is to succeed on 3 out of 5 scenarios, AND, the Seer needs to survive from the assassination attempt of the Impostor afterwards.
  • The objective for the Impostor is for the party to fail on 3 out of 5 scenarios, OR, if the party succeeds in 3 out of 5, the impostor will be then publicly revealed and will have a chance to assassinate the Seer. If successful, Impostor wins, otherwise the four Good adventurers win.
  • Players will have 10 minutes to vote for each scenario; hammer is enabled; you can change your vote; vote randomized if not voting by deadline
  • If the Good players win, they publicly open 4 Treasure Chests with small rewards, and the Seer publicly distributes them among the Good players as they wish.
  • If the Impostor wins, they publicly open 1 Big Treasure Chest with a bigger reward only for themselves

How to join:

  • Type /in in the game thread and ping @FAMHost. Sign-ups will close when full. Event will be cancelled if not filled in 15 minutes.

Reminder: You may not talk or hint about any ongoing events in any non-event chat, public or private, apart from your role PM.

Scenario 1:

You have taken on a quest to defeat an evil shape shifting monster. You have been tracking the foul beast for weeks. Finally, opportunity strikes, and you ambush it. You wound it badly. You follow its trail of blood. As you exit the bushes, you see the trail leading up to two identical cute adorable baby bunnies. They are both sparkling with innocence. The Ranger in your party uses their [Animal Whisperer] spell, which lets them hear the bunnies talk.

The bunny on the left exclaims: “The one on the right is an evil monster! Please, kill it!”

The bunny on the right retorts: “The bunny on the left is lying! It just rushed into me and transformed into me! Please, don’t listen to its lies, and kill it!”

What do you choose?

A) Slay the bunny on the left
B) Slay the bunny on the right
