maybe this is just me struggling to come up with ideas but
ngl i’m very excited for fam4
it’s in like, late june right?
ive shot down like 3 ideas because they were bad
but they might’ve worked in a mafia game
i will (hopefully) be busy this summer but god knows i’ll still sign up for fam anyway
also mafia design is a lot more flexible because
in clocktower closed setups there’s gotta be some way to learn the evil team’s characters
in mafia there’s a basic mechanic that does that, it’s called flips
solution: make clocktower with flips
as consolation dead people can’t talk or vote

also botcu is super obsessed with the idea that every game must be mechanically solvable
which like
just isnt fun for the evil team
actually I lied they’re not super obsessed with it
they ARE, however, obsessed with the idea that social reads are bad because their only frame of reference is toxic-ass mafia players performing bad RTs
ive tried to explain before that my entire play style was social reads and no one listened >.<

social reads > mechanical reads
mech should be a SUPPLEMENT to ur social reads
too much mech is against god’s vision of mafia
if it hadnt been for the fact that I am burnt out of playing clocktower I would waltz in there, and then say “this is my read, and here’s why”
