tbh I’m really curious what someone would think if they watched the show having never seen ATLA before and being totally unfamiliar with the plot, but that seems. hard to find
(technically atla spoilersthe first episode starts with events 100 years in the past, with Sozen’s comet + Aang chilling at the air temple + the air nomad genocide, and then it cuts to the present without telling you that they’ve done a timeskip for ?several more minutes?
and I’m curious how that choice would play with someone who didn’t know what was coming)

I was just thinking about how fucking stupid it is for people to go “to prevent children from being abused we need to strictly control their interactions with adults and ensure they’re always under Parental Supervision”.
