what are your major(s)
so what youâre saying is the decisions i made while i was 18 mean that my life is already over and that my best prospect is becoming a wandering vagrant
isnât society great
pat pat is probably my only unique mannerism, compared to people around me i mean, not everyone
as for content of character⊠difficult to say. i think im kind, but also i have kind parents and i attribute that to them. if i didnt learn that form them im not sure if i could have learned that at all. i have all of their flaws and bad traits too. this might not be too peculiar, just genetics. i dont think i copy flaws of others anymore now that i have a big selection of known human ive catalogued and i can load up the data for each one and use if i think theyâre useful for the situation. this could be a quirky lil thing, it could just be a different wording for âthe more you socialize, the more you learn, the more tools you haveâ which is a very normal thing. i used to stare at people really intensely all the time and i didnt wanna avert my gaze even if they looked at me back, i was really interested in learning everything about them especially their mannerisms and body language, my dad does so too
ye fair
Legit the decisions you made in high school matter a fuck ton, like the most important moment in life arguably is collage applications
Its why I worked myself to the bone in high school so I wouldnt work like hell later
One hour of work during hs is like 10-20 hours as an adult
Its insane how much it matters at the moment of your life when you are least likely to know the consequences of your actions
dont you work like hell anyways
if you make a test where an Average Student In The Class, or even a ~75th percentile student, can get close to a perfect score, the test isnât going to do a very good job of differentiating between people at the upper end of the Ability To Do Your Class
ye fair
anyways regardless of how you handle curves it seems obviously really stupid to distribute school funding based on how well people do on tests designed and administered by the same school
like even if the tests arenât curved itâs not hard to just make a test thatâs really really easy and nearly anyone at your school can get a good score on
IT class in hs were the best. we were split in two groups. both teachers gathered in one of the computer rooms to drink coffee together. me and the boys would play games. the girls would either browse facebook or talk about stuff or drink coffee outside
we used to play poker for pocket change between each class too. i kept a notebook of who owes who how much money. they trusted me the most
music classes (up until middle school-ish i dont think we had it later) it was group singing only. we didnt have instruments. teacher would play a recording from a boombox. then the trick was to lip sync to pretend youre singing and make some noise just in case
all very chill
do you young folk know what a boombox is without googling it? i havent seen one in a hot minute or read the name
