I’m never going to stop thinking about this. HE had a panic attack because I got a 64 on an exam. I didn’t have a panic attack about this. I didn’t give a shit. But HE did, when informed of this news. I don’t even know him very well. What. How. Why
It 100% makes it easier though, and by a good margin as well, but it should vary by industry. Some fields it matters a lot less then others
lol is it? i could go to some prestigious school and struggle academically or i can do what im doing now and go somewhere where I can get a 4.0 with mediocre levels of effort and instead commit my time to networking and job searching.
maybe its just me talking from a businessy perspective but man i just dont buy the narrative that going to some ““prestigious”” school will actually get you farther with the samw amount of time dedicated elsewhere to networking
(The reasoning was “I do better than him in the classes we share and he will eventually have to take the class I fucked up in, therefore he is screwed”, which is nonsensical given I’m like, disabled and have limited ability to focus on academics and openly said I forgot I had this exam until a day before it happened, but the mind is not logical)
i think going to a prestigious school for quality of education is fair
Yeah business is definitely different, mainly since getting a business degree in uni is super worthless, so it matters a lot less
The things that matter is who is in the uni, and the funding and the like
i sent that too eary
I’ve heard this is one of the hardest-grading schools in the country but nobody has a source for this statistic so it might be cope
I have discovered the secret to ignoring the cheesy dialogue (pretending that whenever one of the teenagers delivers a really stupid line it’s because they’re a teenager trying to sound cool)
Also like for a lot of majors, going to uni at all is worthless and a waste of time and money
I am talking about the ones that matter in particular, which is a small subset of all majors
yah idk tbh lol, i just assume some more prestigious schools are gonna have better funding/professors
More talented professors, but like they are not better at teaching, they just are smarter. it doesnt translate a lot of the time
i mean theres a serious devaluing of degrees going on but calling a business degree “useless” is crazy tbh cuz ppl with no experience and no degree are gonna struggle a lot more than ppl with a degree. its just not a guarantee of a job anymore
Is a 64 high? (since like it really depends on the class)
I assume it’s low
Nothing is curved ever and I don’t talk to people in my classes so
true
It’s good for a B overall in the class which is shrug
