how do ujump to the bottom of the thread
hit end or go to the side bard and scroll it all the way down
In what context
just in general
Not a fan. If it were up to me we wouldnât have to give our workers breaks. For me at least they take me out of the zone so itâs nice when Iâm running shift so I donât have to take one.
youâre on your lunch break and you see a drowning child. you could save them, but doing so would make you late to get back to work. do you save them?
Call my boss and ask
Also i rarely go far from the building on my break so this wouldnât happen
the kidâs drowning, you donât have to time to ask for your bossâs opinion!
God damn it
Yeah but thatâs you
Iâll respond on my break
They should be given the option but they shouldnât have to take it ofc
Theyâre mandatory for all shifts 5+ hours
âŚdo you have to take it?
If itâs mandatory and government enforced then idk
But if itâs âyou always have the optionâ and government enforced
Yes to both
Except if the manager is the only manager on the shift. Then they canât clock out and could either take a paid break or not take one
the law on mandatory breaks varies somewhat by state, but generally yes (since itâs very hard to enforce âyour company has to let you take a lunch break, and canât pressure you into skipping itâ without just making it mandatory)
Yeah ok fair
