Basic: GBFS. The only one doesn’t get [perfect] would probably be by not expanding the north with the final resource.
Bonus: I don’t really like the multiple choice answers. Aside from that, I can understand why many people got [perfect minus two]; they expanded the south-eastern tail whilst letting the gap flow, rather than expanding the southwest and blocking the diagonal gap.

Basic: Second Best Search, actually. The First Best Search expanded towards the south-east. Fortunately I explored a bit further west and found [perfect].
Bonus: It was not necessarily an easy find, but it is doable. I am still unsettled by this mode due to how… unaccustomed I am with it. It’s rather impressive to see that this one’s solution is unique though.
