DNC [1960:TMOP JFK Team Chat]

Displacing JUST the Midwest endorsement isn’t enough

We’d get two endorsements, no?
3 CP for 1st issue, 1 CP for second, 1 CP for the third.

Yes but they’re random; we could get another West or something that’s not super useful for us

It’s big math to figure out how many votes each pair of endorsements swings and I’m ow so cannot do rn

@Aleph, just to confirm, Nixon only has one endorsement on each of their three regions, correct?

there is only 3 states an endorsement can have

JFK/None/Nixon

if you get an endorsement you shift it to none, you can’t stack them

If we were to get an endorsement, is it possible for it to randomly land on the West despite us already having an endorsement there?

If the endorsement card flips for the west yes its possible

Alright. Thanks.

Did the calcs. Your thing is missing the 5 things from LBJ; we’re currently at 192-335-10.

From best to worst, the six states of endorsement are:

  • Midwest-Northeast: 340-187-10
  • Northeast-South: 277-231-29
  • Midwest-South: 271-237-29
  • Northeast-West: 261-266-10
  • Midwest-West: 255-272-10
  • South-West: 192-316-29

Basically, we need at least one of Midwest/Northeast and want to avoid randing on the West.

The numbers, if you want to check it.

So do we wanna gamble on those endorsements, or do we want to take the sure thing here:

And just wanna double check that us getting an endorsement means it goes to a state’s edge lean, and not that the states all go to us

Why’s the South endorsement only lead to more tied votes in the last scenario? Shouldn’t it always mean more tied votes?

Oh, wait, no, I misunderstood.

That’s a me error: Tied always goes up if we get the South endorsement.
Fixed.

Correct.
Leans should be in the sheet, if you want to check that.

You are asking the gacha game player whether we should gamble.
(Let me actually run the calcs on that.)

I’m getting 275 for this (skipping IN and taking IL since Industrial Midwest covers Indiana).

In terms of cards that could mess with this:

No yeah it is 275 I fucked up at some point
