DnDCord (it's not on discord)

(Don’t worry about it, most of our group can agree that catbae is good. I also liking Sadbi bit more)

(I mean your thing of separating the players into different groups. What group should i focus on)

(I suppose the one you’re included in first)

The man gazes at you with a bewildered expression, but swiftly recovers his vigor and addresses you with a furious tone in his voice:

“Finally, freedom! I have endured an unwarranted captivity for far too long. You must understand, the injustice of my capture weighs heavily upon my heart. I demand answers: why was I taken against my will, and for what purpose? The torment of not knowing has haunted my every moment. Furthermore, the choice to bring me to this accursed forest perplexes me. It is a place notorious for claiming lives, yet here I stand, miraculously alive. I implore you, reveal the truth behind this ordeal and provide me with the justification I deserve. Let the guilty party be held accountable for their actions, for I shall not rest until justice is served!”

The chest quivers, emanating muffled sounds that bear an uncanny resemblance to voices.

“My head still stings…last thing I remember I was still in Black Satyr’s Tavern with…with my compatriots drinking until we lost consciousness.”

“Drakax I love your outfit where did you get it

*Look at Sasha confused until Drakax look himself “I look like uptight noble, what did I deserve this?” Drakax collects his great war-axe and his javelins as he did a heroic pose looking at the horizon “…told you how hard it is to maintain our equipment if we keep doing this, but this? This is different.”

To Drakax: “Let us adress our new friend”
To stranger: “Hello, my name is Sasha, and these are my three friends. We are friendly travellers who have just awoken from a deep slumber. Who are you my friend? What were you up to last night”

“I was peacefully camping along Shore Road when you all suddenly descended upon me, abducting me and callously throwing me into your wagon. I beg you, release me so that I can return to my loved ones. They must be worried sick about their dear father, who is merely trying to make an honest living. I pose no threat to you or your quest. Spare me this agony and grant me the chance to be reunited with my family.”

(Something feels amiss in his story, maybe an assessment of the situation with a Wisdom (Insight) roll could help?)

(yeah sure I am doing this)

“But wait a minute, what happened to that wagon? What quest?”

That’s a base 8

You find it difficult to precisely identify what seems off in his narrative.

“I may not be aware of the specifics of your quest, but I do know that it was your decision”, man points at Sasha (Hippo) - “to embark on an off-road wagon ride, assuming it would be a fun adventure.”

This time, you distinctly hear the resounding plea of “let us out” emanating from within the chest.

I take a moment to consider the strangers story (can I also do an insight role?)

“I am mildly suspicious of this chest. Do you think we should open it, or perhaps wait untill the others wake up?”

(go for it)
