Oh, kind of awkward. I think I falsely attributed Chomps to starting the line of thought about searching for lost in the thread which unraveled Ranta into being pressured but it was Gummy who started it. Chomps just found a few good quotes.
I bought into that line of thinking heavily when it first came up which probably meant it got flagged in my head as important
its still not a bad shout
but also like
what are the odds chomps pulled those from wolfchat when they were looking for a lw
Not 0% but it would have had to be a crafted situation since i remember the timeline being fluid, i think chomps even commented as they were going thru the pages. one sec let me recreate it
7:32:17 PM Gummy calls for the search
7:34:45 PM Chomps posts first post he found.
7:36:53 PM Chomps posts comment after finding something else
7:38:12 PM Second quote found by Chomps
7:39:09 PM 3rd Quote found
7:40:45 PM Next progression
7:44:13 PM conclusion of progression. Jump in time consistent with amount of info processed imo.

fair enough
its not off the table for wolf chomps to just be faking it but i do see the argument
consistent 1–2-minute intervals between posts, and a 4-minute pause at the end consistent with stated amount of searching jumping
So yeah i dont think its fabricated
Maybe they will be more active later but I wish Daeron was like…more present.
This isnt like coasting perse, but i feel like they could be doing more and they arnt. Maybe they just dont feel the need to contribute right now but it kind of puts a damper on things. Do you know if this is like normal amount of activity from them in this situation Misty?
(No idea if you have experience playing with them)
i have experience but not enough to make that call
In their position I feel like they should be leading things but its not happening and im confused why
hmmmmmm
i mean the simple answer is irl stuff or they just would rather be doing other things than playing this game
im multitasking this with slay the spire so i cant say i dont get it
Im trying to be fair but when I feel like someone is holding out on me that usually in the past means they are a wolf lol.
yeah…i actually had something to that effect typed up in my post but it sounded too wishy washy like i was making excuses for them from the start
It could be just that though
When i get into situations like this i get the urge to make the bad read “Well if X player is a wolf they deserve to win they fooled everyone.”
Last game I played i pushed back against it in f3 with a conensus town and a slot that was highly suspicious who somehow bumbled into f3 and if I didnt get randomly voted by that town who misread my slot I felt like I could have have turned the tables on a slot that was consensus town for most of the game but was just wolfing
I get the urge to make that read for Meow atm, not as strongly as my last game but a bit.
Normally I would just say if someone is acting town and has nothing that pings you they are just towny but I find Marlux’s case compelling even if its a bit nebulous.
hmm
i think marl’s case is compelling but pretty thin
this is probably like a situation where roughly 90% of the time the right move is to just town meow and write off marlux’s case as just paranoia but I feel like the existence of that paranoia shouldnt be just dismissed
no i agree i think its worth considering especially bc daeron was also suspicious of meow
Another piece of the read i got on Marlux that i internalized but didnt think about is would they even make that case as a lost wolf who needs to just survive. They kind of just set themselves up to look even worse if/when they have to nightkill meow and they already look bad from just a read economics perspective
