im not sure how much i agree with that? i dont think a meow town flip necessarily makes marl look worse
its kind of a microcosm of the read Linda made on me yesterday when I was being considered for ITAs and I pushed on her for being what i felt was opportunistic trying to kill my slot
I think if the people you case and vote consistently flip town it does look bad.
Maybe im thinking that Marlux is attributing more weight to that case than is happening in reality, it stood out to me as their only genuine suspicion?
thought there might be some recency bias there because early in the game like you said before marlux was doing fine
Defending ruby, staking their life on sherlock w flip ect is kind of a lot of Ls to take in a row and im not certain Marlux would set themselves up to look worse in the likely case they are forced to nightkill Meow

Well another point I thought of just now is attacking meow is kind of the inverse but equal of townreading people in your poe. By casing meow thats a tacit admission that your POE looks better in comparison (this might be a stretch to explain but ill try)
Using that as a stepping stone, I think what chomps said earlier was poignant, a wolf in a manhunt situation would be EXTREMELY stingy giving out townreads imo especially in the poe who they need to survive against and leave alive till f3. Making a belivable progression to having to scumread them later is another headache they would probably be inclined to avoid if possible
Not only is that an insane vector i took to build on my Marlux townread (lol) but in general it could be a serious vector to consider.
hm this one is probably more of a supplement to a read than what should be a main case but i think its a decent point to look at who has been open with townreading players and who has kept their reads closer to their chest

Yeah I feel good about Marlux town gonna lock that one in until probably f3 where id have to reconsider everything anyways
(the irony of this isnt lost on me considering what i just posted and in fact could maybe be used as cover for a wolf to pivot on their townreads in f3 but…I still think it looks fake if anyone does serious digging into your past reads and it would probably be extremely difficult for me to pivot this into a wolf read on marlux in f3 but then again i wouldnt even necessarily have to because im right and im town lol)

I don’t think it’s Lucid, but if there’s an opportunity somewhere in their results to have checked me in theory rather than someone else, that would be the only indicator I could see of why I got vanillaized

its kind of fluid though because of nightkills, if your poe gets taken out then youll have to find other slots to turn on
does Lucid have the capacity to have checked at any point in the game?
but theoretically if you have 3 clears, only a max of 2 can be killed with nightkills which will leave you with 1 and a winning poe in endgame
