this is the quagga, a subspecies of zebra that went extinct in the 19th century
the quagga project aims to bring back quaggas by breeding those most similar genetically, basically speaking

so if you took the reverse of that principle, and bred the cheetahs most genetically diverse i suppose that theory could work

but i am not a scientist
