yeah i’ve kinda felt like we don’t really play enough games for there to be more than one person who rands wolf more than twice and plays well in all of those games

also i am strongly against repeat award winners sorry

i understand there are some cases where it makes sense like if there aren’t many applicable players for the best wolf category as an example, but imo there are way more situations where there is actually a competition and the same person winning again just feels… pointless? like we aren’t using this as an objective way of saying who is the best at what - otherwise we wouldn’t allow anyone to vote even when they haven’t read the majority of games in question. the optimistic view is that of a celebration of the community and the cynical view is that of a popularity contest, but either way it’s not objective. so celebrating different people each year makes more sense to me. i don’t think the same person receiving the same award in consecutive years does anything, even for that player. personally it would go straight over my head if i received the same performance award twice, it wouldn’t feel like a new achievement

We discussed but didn’t finalise making FAM a separate award because this is twice in a row that FAM town has been nominated to win. Which is geometrical to say the least. But we can fix it by simply not voting for them
