Unless it’s a site meta thing wrt the jailkeeper I have seen it included in setups on other sites where the design intent was to be beginner friendly. I agree with you that it’s not a simple role due to being multifaceted and double edged.

Yeah lol. The skill ceiling is probably extremely high. I’ve seen jailkeeper’s predict the night kill across consecutive nights terrorizing the scum team or do the opposite approach and target all the scum messing up all of their night actions. I’ve also seen jailkeepers hit town PRs every night blocking all of their night actions and then get voted out or killed by scum themselves lol.
