yeah I do agree he’s playing very differently to beatings, much more joking. but the posts themselves have felt fine I guess & I kinda do buy his interaction w/ snow as unpairing maybe.

The issue with playing with Melatonin as any alignment is because they’re very non-committal to their reads they can sort of pivot to match the flow of the day and then go well yeah I was always feeling this way I just was indecisive about it because I’m LITERALLY just a little guy

if wolf with beancat, my best explanation is that snow said they come from discord community that is heavily role madness/mechanical (I’m equating it to qbcord in my head) & they’re mech-savvy enough to know that we will read hippo’s mason partner claim on beancat as nai & a beancat wagon won’t emerge purely from that question (+potential towncred if either flips). it’s admittedly not the strongest tinfoil

I think my final decision is to vote Melatonin here. It’s my slight preference over Kiiruma, maybe 60-40.
Other than poor positioning this game, there hasn’t actually been much of Melatonin’s admirable longposting that has pinged me as a townie trying to right the ship. Possibly my biggest issue rhetorically is a continued reliance on “well if I was wolf I wouldn’t do that”, a common refrain from wolves unable to fully imagine how they would act in a world where they were town and could do things. I think I’m also someone who sells myself very easily on the narratives I construct (for good and bad) and the narrative for both Melatonin being wolf and Kiiruma being rolecopped town feel substantial.
I don’t think Kiiruma and Melatonin are likely to be paired, but like, make sure neither of these guys are in Final 3 without actual, provable mech (not just the one Kiiruma convinces you of). If Melatonin flips wolf, I would start looking closer at Frog, Frost, maybe Chomps. If Kiiruma flips wolf, I would maybe re-evaluate Eve and look at Jason and Willow. If they’re t/t shit man I dunno hopefully we get some god damn mech by then
