I really should’ve realized it by how he was treating my slot, but I thought it was paranoia from how I pocketed him last game.
Game End Flavor
With the last of the non-poisoned ice cream destroyed, the ice cream shop was forced to shutter. Meta Knight’s ice cream became the dominant ice cream shop of the town.
While saying goodbye to the now-abandoned ice cream shop, someone finds pieces of a transcription of a call…
Breaking news:
Kirby has resurrected! He seems to have fled, and taken some defunct machinery from the bottom of the ice cream shop with him. A certain orange-colored cat was seen going with him…
this is, part of what made me think I was wrong on chomp, even though I voted them, their behavior was absolutely bizzare with how they were treating the end game and it’s also why I was so terrified and looked at aleph there
Thd fact that you werd alivd in lylo was probably the biggest hint that it was Zone but I can’t say I blame you. It couldn’t have been easy and it was enjoyabls to watch too even if Zons did howl there by saying sleeping wasn’t a good idea. Zone deserves this victory. You did a great job Zone.
This game is proof that you need to be careful when unpairing people. I’m not even upset about losing this one. In fact, I’m proud that the wolves feared me enough to kill me N2. After all, the better you sre, the earlier you die. ^_^
It was absolutely bad to sleep there I think, with zone being the mafia, I think we would lose
in this setup sleeping is IMO often not a good idea
Oh, no. My reaction was very much real.
Had I not randed Mafia, then my distrust on you would’ve been caused because you put so much paranoia into me that I subconsciously remember to not trust you.
in fact I was surprised no one considered executing in F6 in the first ice cream mafia
This game was me tripping every EoD because I didn’t backread and have terrible time management
BTW: I’d like opinions on the setup (both whether I should run a similar setup in the same vein as this and ice cream mafia 1, and any changes that should be made)
Oh, no. It genuinely was not a good idea.
What I said prior was legit:
Sleeping would result in a dead Ishmael and a genuine F3 with Litten, Chomps, and Zone.
But Litten had already townread Ishmael, so like: It would still result in Chomps getting mis-executed.
A f3 with me zone and chomps I’m pretty sure I actually win
I thought sleeping was bad because you kill me but I have a pretty solid way of working through f3’s
Maybe. Maybe not.
Aka, if I think chomps is town, I can always go back to looking at you and see town and then looking at aleph. If I see chomp is town I’m going to go much harder on you
i think killing in f4 was the correct call but i think sleeping would’ve been a non-incorrect call
To be fair, if we were to reach F3 with those set of players, then I wouldn’t care about the game anymore. Because by then my hidden agenda would’ve already been achieved.
my current most prominent thoughts are:
- Protection shouldn’t work on the same player twice in a row, or there should be some other way to prevent town from making a player ~entirely unkillable
- The ability to nightkill wolves (plus no night flips) doesn’t actually do anything and honestly just made it harder to write the flavor - I think night flips should be alignment-only
- Whispers went almost entirely unused, because the risk of spewing yourself non-PR outweighed the chance to coordinate things with PRs, and once the PRs were dead there was little incentive to whisper anything
you basically always kill f4 yah, sleep there accomplishes little. Even with hindsight, chomps being town means you gain almost nothing from sleeping anyways since he woulda just been killed anyways
