I understood Kel very well because I have played with people like him. That’s why I defended him because the way he played coming from a mechanical background seemed to be town. I just killed him, for I don’t even know why.

mostly a sidenote thbthtbthbthbthtb but I think the mech around spooky’s death had significantly more going on than was actually analyzed

namely: If a wolf claims to have protected Spooky, and they don’t yet know other player’s actions, that’s rather risky, because its possible that means there’s enough claimed votes on Spooky where someone claiming to have protected them has to be lying (barring coffee)

Oh. Yeah, and that’s why I didn’t lie about protecting Litten. The choice to claim Chocolate was genuinely decided by a coin flip though. Why? Because I had just woken up by the time I was writing that post, and I felt whimsy.

Protection shouldn’t work on the same player twice in a row, or there should be some other way to prevent town from making a player ~entirely unkillable

I concur, but that raises the issue of “how does anyone know who was protected last night?”

Because I thought the intent was to hide that very information to begin with when this setup was being designed.

Unsure about that - I could leave it up to “everyone tries to guess”
Alternatively I could instead add some flavors to help with that…

A good amount of this was my bad. This started the same time a mash started where town decided to shit itself (I mentioned it in my response to Gira) and when I got back to this game I couldn’t get my head into it enough to read.
