I think she was a pretty bad candidate but I don’t think that the numbers today tell us much about how good of a candidate she is – it’s unsurprising that Democrats do better when {Republicans are in power + lots of things are happening that people don’t like} than when {Democrats are in power + lots of things are happening that people don’t like}

i dont think ive seen a single district where her results aren’t getting blown out of the fucking water by literally anybody else running this year, and like yes some of that is certainly “wow the current state of things is bad” but like this was HIGHLY PREDICTABLE and we completely and totally failed to capitalize on drawing any meaningful distinction between this very likely state of things and where we’d be under harris in the eyes of the general populace
