You guys are acting like it’s possible to become the best comedian, it isn’t, because nothing of what you do actually affects anything in the world.

We’re talking about once you get out

You build up knowledge over decades and then you get to wake up the next day the most knowledgeable person in the world

The next day I wake up and I know years’ and years’ worth of material I’m an expert in every field

What if you can’t ever escape though.

24 hours isn’t a lot of time, you might not be able to visit every place on earth because you’d need to optimize getting transportation asap and that’s not entirely up to you. it would rely on luck if your spawn point has access to many things you can do

This really is just a product of, “How much self-motivation do each of us have?”

what would you do in a timeloop if you knew that upon leaving said timeloop that someone in the world had 1-shot timeloop anticlaim and the desire to see the timelooper dead. you don’t know who they are

Then it’s not relevant whether I start looking for a way out?

Internet means that’s not super relevant, there’s enough material out there that I can access from home trivially

ignoring my multiversal theory I could kill literally everyone. nobody could piss me off again. Oh, you just cut in front of me in line? Alright Josh Clayton-Wesley. Your girlfriend is cheating on you and agreed to help me beat you to death with a copy of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban after I convinced her I could see angels. I buried you in the ground a hundred billion years ago. Nothing can you do will effect me.

Wouldn’t the guy just appear right back up again once you sleep/die?

i wake up every day. at some point i realize its a time loop. then if i start trying to solve the world’s biggest problems or whatever, i would fail a thousand times over. and i don’t know the nature of the loop as mentioned. in some stories the loop has a number of gurantees; immatuable things that will happen no matter what i choose. perhaps some of the gurantees are that I can’t do anything about lots of these issues.

(under the assumption i know a guaranteed way to break the time loop, but do not have to act on it immediately (which these things imply) or something ofc. in which case i would probably just break the loop immediately because GOD i could not handle all the pressure and the everything)

i know not the nature of the time loop, i know not a lot of things that are unknowable. thus, my top priority would be to END THE FUCKING LOOP and let myself live a normal life

Like, what’s the point of doing anything if nothing you do will have any lasting impact?

this is hypthetically post timeloop, and the idea is that these are things that happened in the timeloop. Its the knowledge that I could

if im trapped in the loop forever then i am trapped in the loop forever and would probably erase my mind at the start of every loop or something

also its fun??? Some things are so fun but you Don’t want them to have a lasting impact. such as heroin, which timeloop me would do so much of

This reminds me of a quote in the sucker for love sequel

One of the strongest cultists said she wouldn’t bow down to someone weaker to her, and has killed you in multiple loops. No matter what, you can’t harm her. However, in a way, neither of you can either win against each other. No matter what you do to someone, they will act as though nothing happened the next day

yeah its one of the worst tortures if you can’t escape the time loop. you can’t even die

spending the time loop honing your trump assassination skills to show that the other two guys sucked. you find out too late that successfully assassinating him is actually the trigger to end the time loop
