Library of Ruina FM - Day 3 - Mafia Wins

Good question. He was hard wolfsiding this game. My mistake was not following through on my tinfoil that Wazza was a wolf trying to look good by defending me as well as reevaling on Jarek D2. As well as townreading Rue as hard as I was.

Nah. Town played like they lost their brains this game, myself included. That’s the main reason town lost I think.

We 100% deserved to lose this.

Agreed. I’ve learned from this game. No more claiming D1 from me.

Tbh AtE can provide free townreads if it’s from some guy who clearly doesn’t care enough to say things like that as wolf to win, but for me usually all it takes is seeing 1 instance of someone simulating some kind of AtE as mafia (that only a villager would genuinely experience i.e. from being misread) and then from that point in every game with that player any form of AtE is completely ignored in my evaluation of that player’s alignment. I have a very well-defined mental list of players who are willing to say anything as mafia in order to win and it serves me well

This has got me the best results tbh

I have always felt like you blanket townread ate even if it didn’t make sense. but if the ate doesn’t feel justified that is a pretty good sign to just ignore it or wolfread it. like usually there’s a proportional response from anyone who actually feels upset and isn’t insane

Hm… in the end, what did make me townread the people I townread?

Holy POE. This has to be one of my best Town games in the past years.

…yet how come I don’t understand how I found them? Leafia, tutuu, and ACE… Partially mech, but… there’s more to it. tutuu’s suffering made me trust him unconditionally, but Leafia and ACE… I guess it was their general demeanor that felt towny? I no longer remember what my past selves thought, but as of moment of writing, I clearly remember Leafia being less [REDACTED], and as for ACE… IDK, I guess we made up somewhen during the second half of D1 or smth?

Freezin… Ya, I know my archetypes. That D1 flavor- and mechtalk was towntelling. I am also biased because of volumeposting. It ain’t a good sign, but it is one that I use.

Spiritualized and Sultan are Achro’s reads. Those are his achievements; not mine. I merely follow, and even then I kept doubting Spirit for the opposite reason why I townread Freezin; they lowposted.

Frostwolf. He be weird, but the fact that he (1) was not frozen, (2) talked about mech, and (3) tried to solve in his own way using wagonomics, (→) were what made me put him up there. (Not highest, but “high enough”.)

snow… did not talk a lot, so despite the good call on gummy, I gave them the same treatment as Spiritualized. Except snow didn’t have Achro’s grace, so they were put lower than Spirit.

EggYolk: Same treatment as snow. It was unfortunate that he could not talk much, but there was nothing to be done about it.

Chomps simply didn’t feel like himself this game. IDK what it is, but he’s behaving like Rue, and I mean that in a bad way.

Wazza, Rue, and gummy’s reasons are already explained in my reads-list. IDK how to handle Wazza’s feedback, but I knew she is capable of BS’ing mech. Rue was opportunistic and had to die for trying to kill Achro. gummy slipped.

I feel like, in terms of being hidden and laying low, the MVP is Jarek. Why? Because aside from his mech, I still don’t remember anything about him. (Holy frick. WTF are you?)

Remind me to join the next mech hellscape if I’m not on the cusp of death.

For fairness I would like to propose a rule where we are not allowed to kill Achromatic night 1 of games anymore.

Mafia not only killed you n1

they spent their strongman on you

and also redirected the town protective on you to someone else

For fairness I’ll like to counter propose that they are not allowed to kill achromatic so long as town dies d1.

extremely high effort kill, the Ring would be proud

Tried making a game a few years back to prevent QBCord’s equivalent from always dying N1.
That game was Circle Mafia.
Maybe I run it back (I value my life enough to not try).

I blocked that game from my memory

The ROI can’t be denied.

i am afraid I might have to start doing what I did on GameFAQs and just go super hard day 1 and ask for people to take my hand on a magic carpet ride. I think reasonably I should have murdered Rue because I was pretty confident in the read (although credit for Rue for having the audacity to make that read of gummy w/w, didn’t think she would!) but I decided to be safe and keep the game in front of me. Oops skill issue, be aggro and murder wolves.

Also I am pretty sure some mods over on MU have a strong distaste for me because I have 100% gone harder on them than anyone has ever seen me go in their DMs about some of the shit they let go over there.

In the old days there was at least 1 game where SPKs were given a bpv bc killing them n1 happened so often

On NL if you died N1 in the last game you’d get an N1 BPV in the next one

Not anymore but existed for a time

Next game I will start speaking in riddles. Surely there comes a point where I am not the best night kill.

this was so bad to wolf against when both the SPKs got BPV vig and BPV tracker respectively rip

there was another game that gave them a 1x commute to use within the first 3 nights or something that was marginally better (LMS sk ended up winning I think)
