Think Chomps is a wolf for trying to get gummy hammered and convince me to not clear her. This rides on pre-flipping Gummy town, which I’m willing to risk. Also, Chomps has been in Gummy’s position before, where he crashed out and voted himself and tried to get executed as town,

If a town does that, wolf can replicate because its a town thing to do. I ignore these self vote lamist behavior (look at me I am seriously town) because it doesnt serve finding wolves but put blame to someone else

At this point we’ve had like 5/6 times that Tutuu has went “X player crashed out, Wolf would never” and I think at some point Wolf will/has taken advantage of that.

Otherwise, I have been thinking of gummy as wolfy for a while.

Guys, I want to bring attention to this post.

If gummy is town, is this not an incredibly wolfy post?

Hm… That is a good point. However, shouldn’t it be possible that the Mafia simply… didn’t talk much in Mafia Chat? I’m assuming that all Mafia assumes that their scumbuddies know how the game works.

–actually, if gummy is Mafia and asked about why Pandora slipped in Mafia Chat, then that explains why she never asked about in the gamethread; because she already knew about it. Her “forgetting about how only mis-executions gives flips” would then be a lie, and that means that she genuinely did scumslip by saying that her flip wouldn’t show up Today!

I am of the opinion that we should not continue burning any Books. Period. They only power-up Bookhunters, and I believe the Mafia will do everything in their power to go against me in this matter. Because this is literally how they get more powers.

It’s also how town gets more info too.

Leafia, the only stable Books are from Pandora -whose flip is already revealed- and from Achro. Why would we want to know what Achro’s role is?

–unless you mean to say that we should burn Unstable Books, in which case… IDK, actually. If we go strictly by the wordings, then burning any Books ought to give Bookhunters 1S abilities. But it just… doesn’t make sense from a designer’s POV…

It (basically) says here that burning stable Books gives benefits to Bookhunters, but nowhere is stated that the Mafia gains anything from it.

Mafia start with Key Pages; they don’t gain them upon burning an Unstable Book.

–and with that, I see zero reason not to burn Unstable Books. Town literally just gains info on non-Town roles, and -by the hosts’ words- the odds are lesser that non-Town Bookhunters gain any 1S abilities from burning these Unstable Books.

I should also mention that we can work on assumption that Mafia have their own bookhunter, it’s unknown whether we got second town bookhunter, but it’s known that only one book is burned and thats the one with Black Silence.

Yes, we should assume at least one Mafia Bookhunter exists.
However, read the following:

From what I see, there is basically no downsides to burning Unstable Books! (At least, not directly from the mechanics themselves. The only paranoia that I am willing to accept is if there is a Mafia role that powers up the more Unstable Books gets burned, because then the cause of the power-up would be coming from the role, and not from any public mechanics.)

However, we dont have to worry about Gummy flipping alignment only if this turns out to be Roland as Snow says, my own visit to Gummy also proves my theory about Black Silence being strongman is proving correct and the only explanation is that Gummy have passive that stops action manipulation.

Your theory was that Roland’s book was burned and took effect during N1, which is how you theorize gummy obtained a Strongman modifier for N1

I’m offering a counter argument that we don’t know if Roland’s book burning effect took effect during N1, and to me, it looks like it only took effect after N1. To me, it looks like someone simply submitted as a night action “I will burn Roland’s book on N1”

The player who burnt the book of Roland has a benefit in relation to those taglines from what we can gather, it’s more than likely whoever burnt the book has an investigative ability that they can use and will almost definitely be one shot.

I don’t think this role screams anything like “strongman! strongman!” to me, it’s completely plausible that mafia just have a strongman kill and just used it to kill Achro, although I doubt it because of the redirect anyway

So. I don’t post for a while and have been somehow excised from public consciousness. That’s certainly positive! Definitely not a sign for anything. Unfortunately, I don’t have enough energy today to do a quotewall again and I tried backreading but found my eyes rolling back into my skull(despite today frankly being way more comprehensible than yesterday).

So I guess I’m saying: don’t forget me!!

Anyways. I’m looking for someone who has good, and importantly stable and comprehensible reads. Anyone want to volunteer?

Snow caught on or would have looked into Gummy that night, I also had disruptive ability and went on Gummy, I got informed I got roleblocked. My theory on Black Silence being Strongman is not strong in game setup but could make sense in lore.

I am under impression that burning the black silence book also gives mafia some more power, if it’s true that activating on Start of Day 2 rather than End of Night 1 then it’s the counter argument that I couldnt have been stopped by Gummy’s extra effect.
