I think the game was able to preserve the ideal balance of “whoever plays the best wins”
Which is a success

Thank you.

The flavor in this game was very intentional. The host is Kyubey, which is stated from the start, and the “traitorous magical girls” it discusses are Homura and Madoka, which is implied in the original post and then later becomes more clear (no players openly claim the Homura flavor, and what happens to Homura in the Night Zero flavor changes based on how many mafia are executed).

You lost, though not as badly as you do in Madoka Magica itself. Homura and Madoka get away and you didn’t even get Walpurgisnacht’s Grief Seed.

Had the town won, Walpurgisnacht would have been defeated, Homura and Madoka would have become Witches, the Earth would have been destroyed, and you would have had their energy to yourself. It is quite sad for the universe that you lost.

Apologies for the lack of clarity. I struggled to walk the line of revealing the game would be nonstandard but maintaining character voice (which was important to communicate that the resets were mafia-associated) and avoiding giving away the game too much, so to speak. I think some emphasis and clarity was lost as I edited the original post.

Thank you. It is appreciated.

I agree. I hope the game was to everyone’s satisfaction.

As always, any feedback would be appreciated.

Oddly enough, no Tracker information got out all game: beancat idled during Cycle 1, then was killed during Cycle 2 before she could receive a result. (Dead players did not receive investigative feedback during this game.)

I do think the game could have gone a little differently with a Tracker in-play, but not immensely so. It was not nearly as important a role as the Vigilante.

I do wish I had made the village roles more important, but it was difficult within the design bounds of the game.
