“I’ve never really liked selfish people. I understand doing what you need to survive, but there were other ways. I try to only get people who will care about their duties.”

Encans Prive

Researcher of Historical Anomalies

Age: Twenty-Nine
Gender: Genderqueer
Education Level: Master of Arts in History.
Religion: None.
Personal Relationships: None.

Recruitment Method: I found Ms. Prive on a standard trip for anomalies, and had invited her to visit the Institute in hopes of merely accruing an anomalous source. However, given her unexpected counter-breach abilities, and having no moral/mental concern for the institute’s containment policy, as “…that’s just what capitalism is. I’m just a cog in the machine”, I have decided to employ Ms. Prive for an expectedly small monetary sum compared to her colleagues.

Intelligence Level: Above average.
Morality Tier: Average
Anomalous Properties?: Y

Physical Ability: Below average
Mental Resistance: Significantly below average
Sanity: History major.
Reason for Seeking Institute Employment: Lack of sustainable employment elsewhere and no familial or social ties; standard.

Counter-Breach Abilities: High. Resourceful. Good at mimicry, and ‘learning from past tactics’.

Life is just a numbers game. I don’t want to, but if I have to work for a maniac in order for a little luxury, I’ll do it with a smile.

What We Can Learn From Anomalies - [Passive]

You temporarily gain a one shot version of the active abilities, and additionally, the passive abilities of every Anomaly that dies.
Upon seventy-two hours passing of you gaining an Anomaly’s abilities, you will relinquish them if it’s a passive, or lose a shot if it’s an active.

Clarifications to this ability are hidden from your flip.

Clarifications

Abilities or passives that were currently in the middle of utilization by the anomaly do not directly carry over to you using them/being the catalyst for them.
You hold onto passives that directly interact with your used abilities as long as said ability is currently ongoing and/or has shots.

Passives that generally interact with specifically either the day/night phase do not take effect until the day/night phase begins.
Targets with loud passive day-phase relevant abilities that are killed at night have all their relevant abilities’ activation delayed until the day afterwards.
Day-End/Dawn relevant abilities that you gain from executed/Night-Killed targets take effect before their seventy-two hour mark effect takes place.
You cannot obtain abilities that kill.

Battlefield Experiment - [Passive]

The next role with an Active hidden ability you gain has it unlocked for you.

●○✝○●

Ode to the Departed - [Passive]
The player dying to the Counter-Breach team’s poison will be added into a neighbourhood with you.
This will take place in a separate neighbourhood than any of your prior ones.

There’s Only One to Blame - [Passive]

The first time you use Final Attempt at Justice on a member of the Anomaly team, the kill fails.

If Final Attempt at Justice fails (does not result in a death), it is Locked until a member of the Counter-Breach team dies.

Damnatio memoriae - [Active/Night/Permission]
Choose any number of abilities/passives you have gained via What We Can Learn From Anomalies, and discard them.

Passives/abilities that specifically work with other abilities/passives will be discarded together.

Rethinking Reality - [Passive/Active/Night/One-Shot]
You learn the ranking results of It’s Not Life or Death to Hide Away!!.
While this passive is active, Stubbornness’ Bane is locked, and vice versa.
Once per game, you may choose to lock this passive.

It’s Not Life or Death to Hide Away!! - [Active/Day-End/One-Shot]

Tonight, they will be asked to rank 3.5-([X]* .5) people by how much they trust them, and to rank 3.5-([X]* .5) people by how much they distrust them (all non-whole numbers round up).

“Don’t you ever think this is too much effort? I’m fighting here and there for all these things that I can’t care for.”

“Try to hang me if you desire. But you won’t get far!”

A comical sound of a Peter Astika sized man jumping through a window can be heard.

The Counter-Breach team has forfeited. Rolecards incoming.
