Hey y’all!
With Geyde and Wind stepping down, we’re looking to add at least one person to the Mod team to fill their place - likely within the next few weeks. Additionally, our Reviewer team could use some more hands (more info on that in the second half of this post)!
Mod Applications
If you applied last time we did an interest check, please still answer all the questions below. If your answers remain the same, that’s okay! But please explain that rather than copy/pasting past answers.
If you are interested in being a mod, please send a private message on the forum to every moderator (@moderators - Arete, Chloe, Magnus, and May) with answers to the following questions. We may contact you with additional questions. Depending on how many applications we get, this process may take some time.
- Why do you want to be a mod?
- Why do you think you would make a good mod?
- Do you have any experience moderating other communities? (It’s okay to apply even if the answer is no!)
- What is one change you would make to how the site is moderated, and why?
- What is your timezone?
- What is your daily availability to contribute to modchat discussions on Discord?
As a note, if we do not select you, that doesn’t mean you did anything wrong, or that we don’t like you. We are considering a number of factors in making our decision, including timezone, and the gaps we’re trying to fill on the team.
Currently, we are only considering people who are at least 18 years old for the position of Moderator.
Reviewer Applications
If you are interested in being a Reviewer, please send a private message on the forum to Arete, Geyde, Luka, and Willow (ElizaThePsycho) with answers to the following questions. We may contact you with additional questions. Depending on how many applications we get, this process may take some time.
- What is your experience with setup design? What setup are you most proud of? What setup that you created do you think was most flawed?
- What is your experience as a reviewer and/or site staff member?
- What is your process as a reviewer? (If you’ve never reviewed a setup before, then you can just describe how you would go about doing it.)
- How much time, on average, would you spend on a review?
- How many reviews would you be willing and able to take on at a time?
Please try not to spam this thread with off-topic talk, so that legitimate questions aren’t drowned out. Thanks!
