I strongly disagree with @astand on his vision of making you all replay this game over and over in a simulation.
He’s doing it for his own ego and not out of caring for you guys.
OOC: It’s a bit.

Someone should make Enter the Dungeon (MtG mechanic) into a major game mechanic
You teo are different?
It would be really stupid
dah
Makes sense
In particular I think it’s the habit of bastard game designers to think that town will doubt the types of information that have been made unreliable (because it’s bastard) but trust information that is actually reliable under the hood (well once you say the illusion receded, that means they’ll know it’s real!)
Putting the word “bastard” on the setup changes the setup, even if nothing else is added. An alignment cop is significantly nerfed — town in general are significantly nerfed — by making that single change the OP, because players then can’t trust any information at all. The uncertainty itself is extremely wolfsided.
If exactly which kinds of information could be true and false, exactly what kind of bearing on the game flavour would have, and other similar contextual assumptions a game designer makes were outlined in the OP, then this game might’ve been balanced, but the way it actually ran… was not that
Wolves wrote the abilities, I wrote the character name, flavor and chose the portrait.
Was the most useful town mech play ruby killing meowl, and if so what other ones were good
Sorry am curious
But ruby was wolf too, right
“If half the game claims truthfully at any point, all mafia are killed at EoD”
No what
I think for the “slightly wolfsided because it easily could’ve swung in town’s favour!” to play out in town’s favour requires town making an extremely specific set of assumptions that they were essentially not ever going to make, and which you only think are plausible because you are the setup designer who is doing “one or two feldspars and quartz” xkcd comic thing
No I was town and killed the only actual wolf
Were my night 1 targets and could have only killed them
And mafia still got pretty damn close to winning that one!
I will take this as a challenge.
Flips are clearly off the table, but at least I can still do shenanigans like:
“pure 3-player hood (april showers overhaul)
→ 1 mafia in 4-player hood (april showers reconstructed)
→ 2 mafias in 3-player hood (april shower the third)”
My best weapon of impeding social solves are my mechanical “gifts”. (English: “present”. German: “poison”.) Players may opt to take them or ignore them, but they often do the former. Perhaps the poison was not strong enough…?
I need to experiment more on these once I empty my backlog.
You can get away with so much bullshit on town in bastard because it definitely will never activate (trust)
Yeah
You did really well
Hopefully we can be town together one of these days lol
This is possible.
