Odyssey to the Fortress of Lunacy - Game Over - Conspirators Win!

So is the curse of knowledge

having read the roles just now it always amazes me how fucking cool your games are @astand

false flips having roles that looked just as real as real roles (i assume the wolves ~mostly wrote them, but you still made the role cards) while not being pre-determined or anything is also just so cool when the rolecards already look sick

i wanted to join this but didnt bc of anni hosting and just overall fatigue and i think it probably would have been too much for me but at the same time i am a bit sad i didnt get to try to solve some of this in realtime bar a few spectator reads of varying accuracy

does look like the wolves ability to forge flips is really strong and they used that really well, plus the ability to give out an IC that works on literally anyone existing i can def see how the village could buy into an all town game. which is understandably a bit annoying to get burnt on but idt that’s possible without wolves popping tf off as well

what does the 163 in the OP mean btw ive been curious about this for like a week now

I vastly prefer the social game of mafia to any kind of mechanics you canput in there because it is simply a better game. If you’re going to impede my social solve because of mechanics that’s whatever, work around it, if you’re going to reverse it that’s like. Ass

I do think taking hazard’s role was the best idea to do on Day 3

Just understimated the mafia didnt lost a member at all

The fake flips thing is more a personal preference than objective criticism, I’m frustrated by it and I didn’t enjoy the game or setup because of it but that’s on me to an extent for joining a game that didn’t guarantee flips were real.

However even outside that, I think the setup design suffered from some pretty intense theory of mind issues. Players who receive your roles are always going to know less than you think they do, especially in an anything-goes bastard game, and I think the setup was designed assuming players would have WAY more context than they actually do, and that basically always makes the game wolfsided

This is the 163rd time Odyssey to the Fortress of Lunacy have been run in this simulation. I have more details in the endgame post.

It’s been happening since late 2049, for more than ten years.

It’s like Honkai Star Rail

If you tried to play the game like mountainous like tutuu suggested, you’d fall flat on your damn face worse than town already did

I find that you have to significantly town favor to make bastard playable since wolves can very easily operate in the weirdness

Oh damn, my PoE of catbae/pandora/gummy was correct even if I missed a few as well! I thought I was clueless but apparently not completely.

Ggs! Until next time!
