someone should host word match
i want to match words
(I was thinking about word match without teams, and anyone who matches in X turn advances to the next round)
Who else thinks it’s a bad idea?
I think it’s a funny idea, but I’m worried we’d have problems with ties and reranding words and too many rounds from too many people matching.
I guess we could do, like, first 50% of players to match or those that do in ten rounds (whichever comes first)?
But we’d also have the issue of having to wait for every single player to submit a word for the round to continue, and V kinda established that that’s not necessarily a consistent thing.
Yeah, turn/round times will be definetly longer, since we are waiting everyone’s input in every turn. (Instead of just two, who probably has the same timezone.)
We can just make that anyone who doesn’t submit in the timeframe, simply gets eliminated. (In previous WMs we couldn’t easily do that, cause they had (at least) one teammate who was still playing and relied on them to continue, but this time they wouldn’t bring anyone with them.)
Also I was thinking about the first 66% who pairs up (before the xth round) would advance. (Copying the original elimination rate.)
Everyone matching is an issue. (I want to talk about that one in PMs, cuz I have quite a few ideas.)
Why are we going back to Cheese?
From Cheese
To Chess
To Cress (cabbages?)
Why cheese again?
I would encourage different names yeah
The Crestening, or the Pressening, or the Dressening, or the Crossening,
The Crossdressening
The crassening
The tressening
The creasening
I was out of ideas.
Too tired right now.
Will post OP tomorrow.
beep boop
Nya (studying for midterm :lavakitty:).
For quick update, all the actual gameplay work is done; I’ve just been trying to make the OP cleaner to read.
Will try and open signups tonight. Sorry for the delay.
I slightly question the lack of review for The Cressening. Like, I get that the OP will stay the same and that the only thing that will change is the flavor, but I inherently don’t believe review should be ignored just because of that.
…ah well. May’s the one hosting. It should be fine.
…genuine question: what do you think should be reviewed? I can get the rolecards done ahead of time if you’d like?
Yeah, pretty much. That, and the guarantee that the hosts properly have the OP ready (which, you already posted) instead of clicking and dragging style low-effort type of copy-paste that removes colors and sometimes creates buggy messages.
It isn’t much work, but that isn’t to say it is no work at all.
