i tried adapting it for a different community literally over a year and a half ago
i stole a couple of concepts from guillo who, despite being an asshole, was probably right on this front
but i’m certain they could be refined more and i also kinda just wanna see how u’ve went about it

i think if you wanted to spice up the game and give people creative spell ideas you would add extra systems. in the basegame, the only systems (other than spells) that spells can interact with by default is HP (and by extension winning and damage) and bidding. which, while still providing a wide variety of options, can easily result in boring spells sometimes. not Yet given this is the second run on this site but it’s just something to think about

and this isn’t counting spells that introduce systems, ofc, but you get the idea
some of these “systems” include guillo’s mastery thing (which lets you gain some extra powerful effects if you cast several spells of certain types) and guillo’s “complex elements” (which are extra elements that have to be unlocked n shit, and can always be included in costs; similar to time and rule, but more plentiful, and time and rule still exists too) (this one was a good one)

however i don’t know if you actually want to spice up the game this is just a random thought. realistically the game probably just needs more restrictions that are stated pre-game

i think pre-existing complex elements is probably Just Generally A Good Idea for restrictions but still

Making bid compulsary. (totally reworked the bidding/element pool system)
Limiting the design power of players. (every player can design one power at the start, and they either have to buy to be able making more design power, or get the ability via other methods.) (I am still the deciding factor, when it comes to activating those designed power.)
Not hiding the starting hp this time.
Reworked how power activation works.
Making it into an elimination/alliance game instead of racing to an undisclosed goal. (copying Eimm in that regard, so above a certain playercount, the winning condition become to be one of X last players.)
