you are being saved, please do not resist
Zone has lost, but he was very much in character so he basically won anyways
can we share our full cards now btw?
I’m canonically imagining Kuri and Huixley arguing about this the ENTIRE way back
go ahead!
you can continue conversing inside the cockpit if you want
Well, Arius survived, so I’d count that as a loss for him.
We’re gonna have to bring him back in the sequel.
Have I lost? Arius may die in due time, but his secondary objective is not impossible to achieve given enough time and lack of warnings.
Calculation: All of their stories will be filed in my tech-mind. I will return to this world and annihilate all traces of Jean.
fair
your fate is currently ambiguous
make the cockpit dm then
I don’t remember the specifics, but I remember having a moment when I escaped a check I thought I should’ve failed and just chalked it up to me misunderstanding the mechanics.
Appreciate 'cha.
God is Real and he Hates You

Name: Kuri 05.1 (pronounced cure-ee)
Pronouns: it/its
Height: 4’5
Weight: 390 lbs
Eye Color: Blue (one natural eye)
Glasses or Contacts: No
Clothing (and accessories): No clothing, body is modified beyond the point where that would be necessary.
Hair Color and Style: No hair
Occupation:
Geologist
Backstory:
Seasoned explorer, takes contracts for plenty of missions exactly like this one. Almost never gets into combat situations, but it is skilled enough to survive them if necessary. Incredibly quick, moves inorganically, designed and refined to traverse landscapes with ease. Kuri has no sense of humor, and no sense of humanity. Kuri does whatever it is contractually obligated to, but takes collects rock and mineral specimens for “fun”
Kuri was a human once. But it no longer has need for such a term. It was a gymnast, and while no longer maintaining a particularly human anatomy, Kuri has maintained a skill for balance and speed.
Additional information:
There are 3 major parts to Kuri’s body.
There is the “Core”, a roughly 1 and 1/2 foot long somewhat-rectangularly-shape metal object with a 12-inch-diameter hollow hole running through the center. The core contains all necessary organs, including the brain, and a number of synthetic eyes to allow Kuri 360 degree vision. The core’s hollow center functions primarily for storage. The outer core is the strongest and heaviest part of the body.
There are 4 thin metal limbs, roughly 2 and 1/2 feet in length, with two joints, one connecting the limb to the core, and one in the middle of the limb, functioning like an elbow or knee, except these joints have full range of motion. They are thin, maybe two inches thick all around. On the end of each limb is a 3-pronged implement for grabbing, climbing, ejecting hooks, and ejecting Sinkers, a kind of tracker. These function as hands or feet.
There is a “head”, containing Kuri’s (useless, but functional) natural left eye and the last remaining bit of Kuri’s natural skin. The head contains 3 synthetic eyes also allowing for additional visual coverage. The head is hollow, for storage, and is also where Kuri deposits nutrients and removes waste. The head can travel through the hollow center of the core and come out the other end if necessary, meaning Kuri has no true “up” or “down”, and can stand on either limb if standing bipedally.
Stat Points Modifiers HP 7/7 (+0) Strength 5 (+0) Agility 18 (+0) Intelligence 17 (+0) Accuracy 14 (+0) Energy 9/9 (+0) Hook & Line
Kuri is built to traverse landscapes, plain and simple. Usually, that just means crawling surfaces and avoiding the occasional obstacles. Sometimes, that means a battle with gravity through the form of a cliffside. The hooks hurt, too, as an added bonus.
(Active) - Kuri ejects from one of its limbs a barbed hook attached to a thin line. The line is strong enough to carry 1000 lbs, roughly 2.56x Kuri’s entire body weight. Kuri’s core contains a winch capable of pulling either Kuri or a hooked object. Kuri can optionally detach the line as well.
Sinker
Originally developed to detect seismic shifts within planets, Kuri found a number of applications for its Sinkers. Use on humans and other living creatures may be cruel, but the Sinkers aren’t hard to remove. Usually, whatever was bothering Kuri leaves it alone long enough for Kuri to get somewhere safe, and know exactly where “safe” is.
(Active/Passive) - Kuri ejects from one of it’s limbs a Sinker, aimed at a target (roughly the size and weight of a quarter) The sinker attempts to burrow into whatever surface it lands on. Within 100 feet, Kuri has an automatic perception (like an extra sense, that innate) of exactly where the sinker is located, both direction and depth. Kuri always has a perception of direction for every sinker, no matter the distance (giving it a surprising sense of astronavigation as well). There are a limited number of Sinkers, which Kuri can retrieve after use, but lacks the resources to make more while actively on an expedition.
Augmented Vision
And the eyes have it!
(Active) - Activate this ability to toggle Kuri’s artificial eyes between regular, thermal, or radar vision.Sixth Sense
Years of experience mapping terrain have granted Kuri an eeriely effective sense of spatial awareness. That, and the fact that it literally has eyes on the back of its head.
(Passive) - You have enhanced spatial awareness. Whenever anyone enters the same room as you, you will be informed of their position relative to you (regardless of stealth). You may also ask for the position of anyone in the same room at any time. This is a free action. Background Knowledge
(Passive) - You will receive better clues throughout the game. You also start the game with the following additional information:
- The colony on Kronar I was the first permanent TwitteX settlement in what is now the Cassiopeian sector
- The failed colony was established in 2775 by disgruntled scientists of the TwitteX empire and lost contact with the rest of the empire in 2791
- The First Expedition to Kronar was sent in 2852.
- This expedition was aimed around collecting navigation data, and never landed on any of the planets
- They tried to map the whole system, but were stopped by a severe asteroid storm
- The Second Expedition to Kronar departed in April of 2902
- Duncan “Dun” Dunne, a fellow geologist you had previously worked with, had gone on that expedition
- The expedition was presumed lost in July when it did not return
- All expedition leaders except for Jean canceled their expeditions to Kronar following the loss of the Second
- Jean has been on multiple expeditions to other systems, but this is only his third time leading

…OH SHIT.
*looks at Zones’ Death*
Okay Death, so how do we handle this?
“…”
That. is fair. Before I do that though, I gotta discuss stuff with Squirrel first to see if we can work it out or not.
“…”
Thank you!
