i’d scale it as
amber-aisha-huxley (at gamestart)-pius-theodor? (don’t know lattermost’s lore)-kary? (big gap)-huxley (game end)-kuri-(small gap)-arius-jean
with radio as true neut

depending on theodor and how much you consider “being rude” villian-esque huxley (gamestart), pius, theodor are all somewhat interchangeable
Theodor is a mostly logical creature
Generally being a team player is logical
human…i remember you’re neutrals.
Ranged had a flat damage amount
If you rolled above your modified accuracy then it missed
If your target rolled below their modified accuracy they dodged
Melee had a base amount based on strength/weapon if you had one, but it was reduced by ((target’s strength-strength roll) - (your strength-strength roll)) * a modifier
I’d probably change the melee calculation because it was pretty annoying to do the math for
I might make a sequel set in the same universe but there would be like 0 overlap
given how long it took me to write this one I wouldn’t get your hopes up until like, 2027
…also, if I do write another one I’d probably have a different setting before returning to this one
yeah that looks super hard i dunno who would put themselves through that
you know i said that then went to tom but thats actually fairly reasonable its just this
I was originally intending to market similar to magnus’ magnum opus (i.e. there’s one traitor betraying you)
with the twist being that the ‘traitor’ is actually jean
but that felt kinda clunky and if ppl figure out it’s jean it’s actually pretty boring
arius always had a choice between betraying jean or betraying the team; I specifically wrote his wincon so that he could choose one or the other
that said, arius didn’t really bond with anyone enough to really sway him
(ignore the below)
Melee Damage - 1 + (agi + R.S) + (phy•2) + (wis•.5) + (surv •1.5) + (wp + wp status effect) - (Downtrodden [Downtrodden [Roll a 1d20. If you roll less then or equal to [2/4/6], you will deal that much less damage, •.5])
Ranged Damage - wp + ([surv + logi + reaction] • 1.25) + ([wis+agi] • 1.5) + (wp status effect) - (Downtrodden [Roll a 1d20. If you roll less then or equal to [2/4/6], you will deal that much less damage, •.5])
Sharpshooter Damage - wp + area* damage multiplier + ([agi + logi + R.S] • 1.25) + ([wis + surv] • 1.25) - Downtrodden [Roll a 1d20. If you roll less then or equal to [2/4/6], you will deal that much less damage, •.5])
Magicks Damage - wp + ([inn + wis + surv]) + ([chrm + comp + add] • 2.5) + (inf • 3) - (Downtrodden [Dice roll. A 2/4/6 out of 20, per rank, will make you do 0.5 • less damage.])
Magic Damage - wp + ([inn + wis + surv] • 1.25) + ([chrm + comp + add] • 3) + (inf • 3.5)
Gun Damage - wp (r)
Accuracy - 40% + (agi•3) + (inn•9) + (add•2) + (wp) + (surv•2.5) + (wis) - (Downtrodden [Roll (1/2/3) 1d5’s. On a 1, lower your accuracy by 5%)
Health - 40 + (end • 5) + (comp • 3) + ([surv + phy] • 2)
Magicks Pool - 0 + (wis•4) + ([awa + inf] • 2.5) +([Comp+ Chrm] • 2)
Magic Pool - 0 + (wis•2.5) + ([awa + inf] • 1.5) + ([Comp+Chrm] • 2)
Dodge Chance - 0 + (Agi•4) + (R.S•2) + ([Awa+Inn] • 1.5) + (Surv)
(debuff(s)%) - debuff(s)*
Damage reduction - (Armour)
*1 - Area refers to Area on the body. I.E, a shot into the heart will do a lot more then one in the lower arm.
*2 - Debuffs come in all manner of types. At base, each player starts the game Prime, and it goes from there.
I deliberately tried to make my combat system simple so I could do the math on the fly
…except I forgot to revisit melee, and I couldn’t think of a simpler system before game started
well now it just has to get more complicated because people desire advancement
sorry!
alongside all the active player tabs and the room tabs try to save two spaces for two seperate calculators. works wonders.
I’d argue kuri was pretty much true neut, at least from my pov
arguably a little more good, actually, even if it claimed otherwise - it actively tried to save Jean and the other members of the party
oh yeah sure
if it didnt plan on rebuilding the evil product of evil the main villain wanted
even so, that still feels more like blue-orange morality
like it’s just operating on a different axis than other people, which I’d argue is true neut behavior
if “the evil machine is good, actually” is the argument, above kary
(also kuri totally wouldve ditched us to join jean if jean let it)
squirrel where is the epilogue squirrel
