Noted. Thank you.
In this case often spoken bc universal literacy is not super a thing
It is just “a request you make of nobility”
I am interested in trying to petition the Lord Mayor OOC
Wanderer is pretty sure it won’t work since it’s the same day as this whole thing coming out
I might or might not have said this yet but the Lord-Mayor’s name is ~public info, he’s Kirill Tagaris Kazien, cousin to the man who rules these lands (i.e., the lands south of Baron Dalin)
(it is Sort Of dubious of him to use the Tagaris name but no one would say that to his face unless they wanted to be direly insulting)
Okay, but why would any nobility actually read these? Surely they have their own private matters to prioritize?
(Eh… You can always try, I suppose. IMO it’s as good as throwing a message in a bottle from a faraway island, and then expecting someone to read the message within the same day and actually do something about it your situation of being stranded in some random island –but it’s technically not impossible.)
If a noble doesn’t solve people problems they usually get killed
It might help to think about it as… how the noble finds out about the matters they need to prioritize? These people don’t have phones or e-mail, and magical long-distance communication options are fairly limited. Even if the noble actively wants to know things like “there are manticores terrorizing my holdings” or “a major bridge has been destroyed and needs to be rebuilt” or “this lower-ranking noble who theoretically owes fealty to me has decided that his new hobby is being a demon-worshipper” (which many nobles do want to know about, for a variety of reasons, some selfish and some altruistic), their best way of finding out about those things is for someone to come and tell them.
Hm… Very well.
[…] to gather information as though he had spent 1d4 hours talking to local people.
Either (A) the Blessed One was unaware of Zasha being a member of the cult, or (B) something weird is going on with the timeline.
These names are the people whom Rafau have snitched on, implying they were already members of the cult. Yet the conversation piece makes it sound as if Zasha was not part of the cult as of moment of speaking.
the line implies zasha isn’t actually a part of the cult yet, and if she knows of it the guard didn’t know that
The spell can hear the past
That was not mentioned anywhere, so unless Arete says otherwise, I cannot believe your statement.
When it was cast on Paprika, Wanderer heard the past
I need to double-check that, but for now: Fair enough.
i’m unsure this statement is true? the people who are cousins is the baron of this lands and the lord-mayor
Oh yeah. I read it wrong.
…oh well. I ain’t going to retract Arius’ words.
Surely “the ruler of these lands” also has some intel on Baron Dalin? (Otherwise we should GTFO and book northwards to the baron’s territory.)
mhm. I think that’s the main theory Rika and maybe others? were going off on
*reads my own post (P#6824 in main thread)*
Hm… Actually, would this make sense?
Would a baron of considerable (political) power be part of a cult of which its influence has spread all the way south of his own territory?
…no, yeah. That is very much still possible.
