If it gets stolen you are suspect number one

Canary has literally given you stuff and you accuse her like this? Shameful.

This is because Bernkastel is a German name, not because of anything about the setting

oh yes but you see my statement cleverly outwitted squirrel into revealing the setting

…bold of you to assume I know the setting

mmm yes but I also predicted you would try to walk it back

this happens every time

plus you sounded so self assured. perhaps you had looked it up. it seems like something you would do.

your respect for my knowledge is flattering but im pretty sure you know more about the setting than I do

admittedly it’s Brevoy which is one of the few settings that doesn’t have a wealth of written content about it

Very much a side piece in Kingmaker

I think Brevoy would be a sort of awkward one for them to drop a book for now – when they first started printing Brevoy content, it was 2008 (4708 in-universe) and it had been 9 years since the Vanishing, and the equilibrium they described was semi-believable for “it’s been less than a decade but things haven’t broken down yet”, but if they printed one now, in 4726, a full 27 years since the Vanishing + Noleski Surtova taking over, that’s – a fairly long period of time to have ruled without meaningful changes? And it would make the country feel – weirdly frozen? – if they printed a Brevoy book where there were still the same tensions, with fairly few meaningful changes other than the ones they’ve already declared to have happened

(conversely, Noleski Surtova not marrying for 9 years to consolidate power is a bad decision, him not marrying for 27 as the king of a hereditary-ish monarchy and also not having any other plan for succession, adopted heir, etc. is just terrible decision-making)

this is probably why they do not in fact have Brevoy on their upcoming books
