I did come close to TPKing them during a random encounter with some guards in book 1, and then separately again with Nox at the end (but, like, that one is normal to almost TPK your party with), but like “close to TPK” in the sense of “it was close to everyone dying, but instead no one died”, this is the first actual death

still lasted longer than my party tbf so yay
first encounter tpk was just made into “the party except the commander who fled was arrested”
my first actual death was to Nox which. Not surprising

my ac is 13 and im a spellcaster so I assume it’s not too hard to come by

u arent proficient with armor and it can cause spell failure
