you’re buying armour
sorcerors have it more iffy
Basically, traits are extra mechanical benefits you get at first level that can add flavor to your character. You get two at first level, or three if you also take a drawback (like a trait but harmful). Theoretically a trait is worth about half a feat but in practice some traits are better than that (or worse than that). Generally speaking, in most circumstances you don’t get more traits as you level up.
In contrast, with feats, you get a feat every odd level (plus any bonus feats you get from your class). Usually, as you advance in levels, feats will define a significant amount of what your character can do. Depending on what specifically you are planning to do with your character, you may need certain specific feats in order for your character to be effective at it (for example, a character who is making primarily ranged attacks almost certainly wants to have the Precise Shot feat), whereas most builds are not reliant on having any particular combinations of traits.
There’s also something called “racial traits”, which is basically the abilities that are linked to your character’s race/species – so, for example, elves have (among other things) the racial trait “Elven Immunities : Elves are immune to magic sleep effects and gain a +2 racial saving throw bonus against enchantment spells and effects.” Despite being called “traits”, this is actually totally different from “traits” (the thing you get two of at first level). (Making things even more confusing, some traits-the-thing-you-get-two-of are called “race traits”, because they’re tied to a specific species, but are totally different from “racial traits”)
at second level (and several other levels after that) you’ll get access to Slayer talents, which have a couple different ways to use them to get bonus feats (the most relevant ones being picking a combat style, or taking the Combat Trick option from the Slayer talent that lets you pick a Rogue talent)
Technically yes, but half-orcs can already pick human race traits if they want (even though they aren’t human), so it doesn’t really do very much. (also, just to be totally clear, it lets you pick a race trait, as in, a trait from this list, not as in a racial trait (like the human bonus feat))
let me know if I missed any questions, it’s late o’clock

i bought the pavillion tent (can house 10 people). so dont buy tents. but ill need some money, im in the red (costed 100 gp). i need at least 15 gp so im not in the red (aret allowed us to pool money for it)
im already medium encumbured, though i can also carry like 65 more lbs while remaining at medium encumbrance if u guys were worried about carry weight, i could carry stuff for you
i’ll give you whatever you need to pay for it
heres my character sheet (could still be slightly changed in case i messed up something, subject to Aret, but im not changing it by myself anymore:
nvm i changed my mind a little lol sry
and inventory:
(i don’t really need to start with armour and i’m the only one not proficient in it here, shields get in the way of my spellcasting, and i’m just not a melee character so i had more money than i expect most people here to (though i innately start with less money at base))
i messed up my crop on the second image and purposefully omitted some things to not give full spoilers but this is the vast majority of my character sheet (minus my spells)
oh right uh
my initiative is 5
I will be acting first.
You roll a d20 and then add initiative modifier
I will be acting first.
And you will be carrying me when we have to climb.
Bwah
Keep complaining and I’ll make you carry me in combat too.
Aaaa
i probably messed something up honestly but i don’t really see anything major
