[RP Interest Check] Play by Post Pathfinder by Arete

okay so

i bought my points

points

and then from my character sheet i input the stuff circled in red

sheet

and i also changed my base speed to be 20 since im a dwarf down here:

sheet 2

and then im not sure what else im supposed to touch in this table

do i manually fill out these fields?

Summary

and is there anything in the automated yellow fields that i missed filling out?

and also in here:

Summary

im guessing the first one is just for during mid-combat, so i disable it for now, and the field below is example items that i dont have so i can delete those?

this is the sheet aret linked above

Yes

It doesn’t look like it, although depending on the specific traits and feats you pick you may need to put in the effects of those feats/traits manually (for example, if you took the Iron Will feat, you would add in a +2 under “Misc” for Will saves)

you will also want to fill in your weapon(s) under “Offenses” and your armor under “Armor and Protectives” once you’ve decided what equipment to purchase

also, you will want to delete the “7 damage” in the red box

yes, basically the first one is various different effects that might be active (some of them are tied to specific feats or specific classes), you check them if you have that effect active and otherwise uncheck it

yep! but since there’s nothing entered for “Value” it’s not actually affecting your numbers

@Arete

my sheet rn (i edited my build a bit):

sheet

i havent touched anything else from the spreadsheet

so, some notes, can you double check that i didnt mess up these actions pls?

i replaced the hatred dwarven racial trait (+1 atk roll vs orc & goblin) with Ancient Enmity (+1 atk roll vs elves), a site said it’s an alternate replacement but not vanilla vanilla (thats ok right?)

edit: i made a mistake giving myself +1 in str/dex skills to account for armor expert trait, it already gave me +1 automatically from another input, ill fix that

did i input these weapons correctly?

weapons

the multiplier column towards the end im guessing is the crit multiplier, but im not sure what the crit column is for, am i supposed to write something there? or is it the same column (“crit multiplier”), and im just misreading it?

also, did i do the type correctly? (s for slashing, b for bludgeon, p for piercing), or does it want something else?

toggling this button on/off doesnt change anything on the table for me:

Summary

image

only changes it if i switch it on here (regardless of what i do with the previous button) which seems unintended but i dont mind since i want to have it constantly turned on, but just noting

Summary

there doesnt seem to be a way for me to toggle unequipping my shield right (unless i missed it)? (to stop decreasing my skills, if i want to). i mean i/you could just calc it manually (i dunno if you or us will be doing rolls?)

i dont know how, like, realistic / detailed would the inventory management be. do we buy camping and exploration stuff like ropes, crowbar, tent, rations, bedroll, mule, stuff like that? or just combat stuff?

oh i think i got it

so some weapons like the dagger can crit on more dice rolls than 20, and by default all other weapons crit only on 20 im assume, thats what this field is for

How many traits are we allowed?

rules on critical hits

Critical Hits : When you make an attack roll and get a natural 20 (the d20 shows 20), you hit regardless of your target’s Armor Class, and you have scored a “threat,” meaning the hit might be a critical hit (or “crit”). To find out if it’s a critical hit, you immediately make an attempt to “confirm” the critical hit—another attack roll with all the same modifiers as the attack roll you just made. If the confirmation roll also results in a hit against the target’s AC, your original hit is a critical hit. (The critical roll just needs to hit to give you a crit, it doesn’t need to come up 20 again.) If the confirmation roll is a miss, then your hit is just a regular hit.

A critical hit means that you roll your damage more than once, with all your usual bonuses, and add the rolls together. Unless otherwise specif ied, the threat range for a critical hit on an attack roll is 20, and the multiplier is ×2.

Exception : Precision damage (such as from a rogue’s sneak attack class feature) and additional damage dice from weapon special abilities (such as flaming ) are not multiplied when you score a critical hit.

Increased Threat Range : Sometimes your threat range is greater than 20. That is, you can score a threat on a lower number. In such cases, a roll of lower than 20 is not an automatic hit. Any attack roll that doesn’t result in a hit is not a threat.

Increased Critical Multiplier : Some weapons deal better than double damage on a critical hit (see Chapter 6).

the dagger has an increased threat range
