Wanderer, while moving with haste, looks back to Lionel.
“Don’t you have the authority to arrest people or something?”
Wanderer, while moving with haste, looks back to Lionel.
“Don’t you have the authority to arrest people or something?”
Drakor abandoned the tracks and began sprinting after Canary.
Wanderer follows.
“…If I had that authority, I wouldn’t have attacked Sten myself.”
Lionel, seeing the other two do the same, follows Canary
The four of you sprint over to the fields, though the distance is far enough that you have to slow down after about a minute, and it’s not difficult for you to find Sanno planting barley. Drakor, you recognize him from last night — he was one of the people you were gambling with, the one who lost by far the most money, though he’s got a patterned handkerchief in his belt that he didn’t have last night. The horse is nowhere in sight, but there are some trample marks on the ground.
Without considering alternatives…
Canary follows the tracks.
Drakor skidded to a halt. “Friend,” he gasped, barely stopping himself from falling over and trampling the barley. “I hope- you- are well.”
He pointed at the tracks. “I- have reason- to believe- your friend- is in danger. Where did- she go?”
(Roll Survival! DC 9 to follow them at half-speed, 14 to follow at full speed, 29 to follow at double full speed, latter two require at least one rank in Survival. Since there are a bunch of you, you might also want to handle this with Aid Another to boost your allies)
(…for the purposes of overland travel, “double full speed” corresponds to a ~hustle (basically ‘double move but you can keep it up for an hour+’)
(geyde is best at following tracks right?)
20
(roll Bluff)
(29 lmao)
(…well I was gonna try to do aid another but it turns out-)
The tracks aren’t exactly subtle — they were made by a horse, after all — and you can easily find and follow the trail. It doesn’t even particularly slow you down compared to normal travel.
well crap
Wanderer goes
