The realisation of that makes me a little more nervous, but… I’m… not doing awful.

(If the dc to pass is <7 does drakor auto succeed?)

(yes)

(Also - would it be rude for drakor to wear his mask here?)

(yes, although you could choose to do so anyway if you want, it would just affect their perception of you)

“Well, I hope you’ll have the chance to see our sights while you’re here. There’s a new singer in town, performing at the main tavern, and I’ve convinced her to sing at the little Taxfest celebration I’ve put together. And of course, now that the ice has melted, people have started boating on the lake again.”

(from linguistic distinctions obvious in this dialect of Taldane, though not in English, the “tavern” she’s referring to would most likely be owned by the government, with the sale of alcohol functioning as an additional source of government revenue, although it is unlikely that she would personally manage the tavern herself considering her social status)

“Singer…” Canary mutters, a bit louder than she’d like. It’s clear the remark made her a little more comfortable.

I nod.

Drakor ate the food clinically, attempting to keep each movement calm and deliberate.

Now that both the ever-present mask and hood were gone - he’d lowered both for the occasion -those looking at him would observe faintly green skin contrasted by golden eyes. His head was hairless, lacking any traces of stubble on the top.

He ate. And watched.

(You sort of get the feeling your dead silence isn’t the assistance Canary was hoping for.)

I awkwardly tap my seat oncemore, waiting for something to happen now that my limited conversation has… probably ended.

(Are you trying to get drakor to bail you out?)

(canary’s been trying to get anyone to bail her out since she stepped in the building, yes)

(What’s the roll for unspoken communication?)

deliberately passing a secret message is Bluff:

Convey Secret Message

You can use Bluff to pass hidden messages to another character without others understanding your true meaning. The DC of this check is 15 for simple messages and 20 for complex messages. If you are successful, the target automatically understands you, assuming you are speaking in a language that it understands. If your check fails by 5 or more, you deliver the wrong message. Other creatures that hear the message can decipher the message by succeeding at an opposed Sense Motive check against your Bluff result.

Action : Delivering a secret message generally takes twice as long as the message would otherwise take to relay.

general vibe-checking is Sense Motive
