Given the muddy ground, it’s not difficult to find some tracks (besides yours) leading up to the cellar, then leading away, though you can’t find any tracks within the cellar itself. The tracks themselves seem to be bootprints, from fairly sturdy boots, and the size seems to be pretty typical for a grown human man (for comparison, the size is basically indistinguishable from the older of the two watchmen accompanying you, though the younger man’s feet are even bigger).

“Hm… Say, does the Watch happen to have a mage as well? I can sense magic aura on the two of you,” Arius asks with a modicum of suspicion.
It is not the suspicion of “you were the ones who erased the evidence”, but a suspicion of “what kind of magic could possibly have been cast on you; enlarge person? guidance?”.
