Given the muddy ground, it’s not difficult to find some tracks (besides yours) leading up to the cellar, then leading away, though you can’t find any tracks within the cellar itself. The tracks themselves seem to be bootprints, from fairly sturdy boots, and the size seems to be pretty typical for a grown human man (for comparison, the size is basically indistinguishable from the older of the two watchmen accompanying you, though the younger man’s feet are even bigger).

Drakor noted the tracks to the rest of the group. “Thoughts?”
“Hm… Say, does the Watch happen to have a mage as well? I can sense magic aura on the two of you,” Arius asks with a modicum of suspicion.
It is not the suspicion of “you were the ones who erased the evidence”, but a suspicion of “what kind of magic could possibly have been cast on you; enlarge person? guidance?”.

All of that is the truth, but…
“…And I need someone as capable as you to help me find my way. If you’ll. Allow me to see him.” I’ll. Just drop it and let him think I’m some weirdo if he… isn’t comfortable with me walking with him, or- seeing his dad.

The younger watchman scratches the back of his neck sheepishly. “We contract out to mages when we need to, but they aren’t mostly on staff…”
“You’re probably sensing the Blessing of the Watch,” says the older one. “The watch has a standing arrangement with the Temple of Abadar. It’s got a long duration, and it can cover dozens of people if we’re careful enough with positioning.”

Sure, that’s fine. As you’re making your way back through the town, you can hear the party’s voices coming from the cellar, the entrance to which is currently open.
