Zelshâs sword easily finds a gap in Rafauâs chainmail, leaving a gash just below his shoulder.
Rafauâs been on the force for quite a few decades, and one of the things heâs practiced is nonlethal takedowns. His shortsword really isnât the ideal weapon for this, but itâs the one heâs got; he sweeps it under Drakorâs legs, knocking him to the ground.
Drakor (@Squirrel2412), you are now Prone! Also, itâs your turn! proper explanation of how combat maneuvers work once Iâm back on my laptop
(to be clear, you are allowed to just stand up again, but doing so will provoke an AOO)
(oh, and also, standing up counts as a move action, so youâll only be able to make 1 attack if you stand up)
(can I do total defense and stand in that order?)
(i.e. so I get the defending bonus when Iâm receiving the AOO)
(You can do that, although it would prevent you from attacking on that turn (since you used up your standard to Total Defense). In that case, your Total Defense bonus would still apply when you receive the AOO)
âWe donât know who it was. What with them being anonymous, and all.â
âWhy are you doing this?â Drakor asked, rising to his feet with his weapons arrayed protectively.
(Iâll do that)

(thatâs 22 to hit edit: I forgot about a modifier, itâs actually 23 to hit, your AC is apparently 15, +4 for Total Defense, -4 for prone)

(take 8 damage)
âIâm simply preventing an unwarranted attack on the Watchâs reputation,â he says. âDonât worry, I donât need you dead . I simply need you to⌠disappear.â
