Drakor slipped towards Leta. “Who has jurisdiction over the trial?” he asked quietly.

“Apples and oranges don’t grow from the same tree,” says Nyna. “To hear you tell it, your brother was a killer, just like you.”
He gazes right through you. Eyes bear no expression, but with how he’s standing, the message is clear.
‘This helps no one’

I-Look-Back.
I drop it back in my pouch, and then slip away.
“I would ask that you do not speak in such a way. It…hurts to watch.”

“The nearest magistrate for the barony is in Yellowleaf,” says Leta. “There’s technically a nearer one out west, but it’s not in the same barony, so if you want to be careful about jurisdiction, send it to Yellowleaf.”
“I’m acquainted with the magistrate to the west, and I know him to be a fair and just official,” says Nyna. “But I suppose that may be true in Yellowleaf too.”

‘Hospitality. If a place accepts you, you ought to give back and not make a mess.’
I have cleaned up that mess. But, it would not be right to leave this last stone unturned.
“What is the protocol on trials like this? Does someone go get the Magistrate, they come over, then hold the trial here?”
“Messire Valdek Luzin,” she says. “Cousin to Baron Rodin, who rules the lands to our west.”

(which person said this)
“Usually it’d be held in Yellowleaf,” says Leta. “They might come out here if it’s something particularly tricky, where they need to hear from a whole lot of people just to make sense of it, but…”
She trails off, looking back at Kamilla.

“I am willing to assist. I have a wagon and mules to draw it. Additionally, the group and I likely understand this situation the best.”
He isn’t thinking. The words are just coming out. He wants to feel something.
