You can make it to the grimple but not attack it in the same round (since the Grease slows your movement). I have positioned you on top of a crate of vegetables so that you will be able to reach it on the ceiling (it is currently above you but within your reach)

ditto for Arius, who can also reach it but not attack in the same turn

(query: (this makes the big assumption arius moves 30ft a turn) wouldnât arius be able to climb the crates after doing 20ft worth of movement through the grease spell, then move down with a five foot step and still have a standard action?)
I checked his character sheet and he seems to be in scale mail (so his movement is 20 feet)

I had also been assuming 30! but then I checked
(also i just remembered 5 foot step can only be used if you donât use any other movement action but if arius moved 30 feet could still technically be in the tile right next)
theyâre on/right by the ceiling and he doesnât have a reach weapon! thatâs why heâs standing on a box now

((âŚ? Half movement speed, right? Doesnât that mean itâd take 10 ft of movement for Arius to go one tile downwards, leaving him with 10 ft remaining. Would he then have to spend another 10 ft to go another tile downwards, since heâs moving out of the grease tile?))

Oh wait, have i misunderstood how failing the grease check worked? I failed my check, so i thought that means i fail to move, and id still be 1 square north
Oh only if i fall to the ground im in the same spot, but if i dont fall i move? What would have happened if i tried to move 3 squares across grease and i fail the very first check (but not enough to fall prone) and then i succeed my reflex check, do i just move 1 square? (Essentially what happened to me)
