(Have we been freed?)
Wanderer looks up. Still the same day. He doesn’t know why, but it felt like several days had passed in but a moment.
He will ask around and find where Bugibugi is.
Zelsh headed out of the room now too. “Indeed. Although that room sill needs cleaning up.” Zelsh told the person that had told them about the grimples.
Yamyra looks grimly around the room, eyeing the destroyed food. “I don’t know what we’re going to do now. But thank you for all your help.” She reaches for three potions of Cure Light Wounds newly clipped to her belt, and hands one out to each of you. “Since we’re going to have to replace so much food, I can’t afford to give you a monetary reward, but I hope these can still help!”
“I think he’s still at the tavern. I heard they were attacked by bandits!”
“Bandits??? How would bandits even have gotten there without anyone noticing?”
“I dunno. What do you think all the screaming was?”
“I don’t know either, but not bandits.”
you have!
if you had actions before the grimple fight that haven’t been processed, please bump them
Canary stares out from her seat on the planks in front of the general store in a stupor.
She blinks and closes her eyes once more.
Occasional customers come and go through the store. It’s not that insulated from sound, and you can catch snatches of conversations; at one point the counter from the last time you were here returns again with the same kid. (“The SACK costs ONE link. Can you count to ONE?” “You CAN’T count to one! Silly mama!”)
After a few customers have passed you by, Serian comes out, looking rather tired. “Father’s been… asking after you.”
Canary looks up at her sister. “Hm?” And fakes whatever surprise she can muster up.
“Thank you miss.” Zelsh replied gratefully as he put his porltion away. “Hpw much do you think it’ll cost yo replace everything that was destroyed?” he asked Yamyra curiously.
“…He seemed angry that you left without telling him.” She bites her lip. “I think he was just worried, but…”
She leaves the second half of the sentence unspoken.
“Left?” I tilt my head.
Yamyra runs her hand through her hair, tugging on her bangs. “I don’t even know. Probably a lot, though, we were storing enough food to last the whole tavern for weeks.”
(Grimple folks, are you doing anything particular with the grimple corpses or leaving them where they are? either is fine)
“…Yesterday, when you didn’t come home by supper.”
“I was concerned about the murder. I didn’t get back till late.” I state. Nobody could fault someone who’s practically a child for being concerned about a murder. Probably.
Canary stands up, and gives some vague gesture of ‘I’ll go talk to him.’ … which is mainly just pointing at her house and walking away.
{Worst comes to worst… I can probably bring up where they found the body to… get him riled up at something besides me.}
{…}
Serian nods and goes back inside.
(are you in fact going back to the house?)
