He glanced at Nyna, then flicked his attention back to Wanderer. “There’s kids there.”

Drakor nodded. He looked at the others.
Wanderer wants to help. Oh, he wants to help.
He keeps his eyes to the path ahead, mulling it over.
“How do you think we would resolve the problem?”
“What seemed to be the nature of their dispute?” asks Nyna.
Drakor turned his attention to Nyna. “Sounded like money,” he said. “One of them owes the other, but the other claims the other’s a Rostlander or something.”
He looked at Wanderer. “Get the wife and kids out of range, at least, in case it comes to blows. But I don’t think us stepping is going to help.”
He shrugged. “What do the rest of you think?”
Nyna looks scandalized. “If he truly agreed to pay the other man, then whether that man is a Rostlander is irrelevant! It’s not acceptable to break a contract just because someone is from the south.”
He meets your look with a neutral expression. “If nothing else, we can learn more by talking to them about the situation.”
Drakor waited for the others to respond.

“We found Kamilla. We brought her back. We plan on bringing her to a Magistrate. You have testimony to give, so it would be preferable if you came along.”
He shrugs.

With little reason to refuse and promise to Sten that he would do his best for Kamilla’s sake, Arius nodded a couple times in defeat and understanding, as he joined the group.
Once in the wagon, he stayed silent and avoided looking at Sten, seeing as he had failed to protect his daughter from getting caught. Not that he tried to begin with, but Arius didn’t have to mention that.
