At Arius’s explanation, he looks… relieved?
“Oh, that’s just the old hospital. They boarded it up years ago after that terrible plague outbreak. The symbol is just so people know not to go in there.”
There’s a moment’s pause, as he thinks through what you said.
“Wait, there were people inside? Casting spells? Do you think they used Gaseous Form to get in through the walls???”

Wanderer gives a look to Arius, nonverbally asking him to continue.
“Well, I heard about that. I just didn’t hear they were bringing in people to investigate that aren’t even part of the Watch, let alone that I should keep a lookout for them.”
Arius glares at Wanderer.

“That is indeed the case, yes. Though what purpose they have, I do not know.” Arius explains with as much composure as he could muster.
“Oh! Well… If that matter is already covered by the Watch, then pardon us for sticking our noses into that matter.” Arius apologizes, as he sweats profusely internally.
“We are those people actually.” Wanderer delivers with a degree of glee.

“Wat?” Arius asks dumbfoundedly. Unless he misremembers, he doesn’t recall his half-orc companion mentioning anything about this at all.

Arius sweats bullets internally as he enters a staring contest with the Watch guard. From the corner of his eye, he could sense that someone is looking at him. However, due to the pressure, Arius fails to identify whose gaze is aimed at him. He doesn’t know why people are looking at him, but whatever their intent are, it is only making him more nervous.
The silence only continues to grow, as Arius waits for the guard’s response.
