“We’re not cheating,” says one of them. “You’re just unlucky.”
“Or bad at the game,” says another. He laughs.
“Hey, hey, be nice,” says the first one. He looks back at the man who’s been losing. “Want me to deal you in another round?”

[Yes]

(lmao)
apparently the power of your faith is unusually weak today or something
Hi! To find out what I can do, say @discobot display help.
Wanderer will inquire about this with all the grace of a brick.
“Those injuries and that damp clothing…what happened?”
(I’ll expend an additional one if it’s needed [I have a lot] but if it’s not needed then I won’t)
[I think you’re good]
Despite your relatively weak channel, the man you healed is still grateful. He hands you a wooden bead as he leaves.
The man sighed. “I’m going to take a piss first. You guys can go play with the newcomer in the meantime.”
((Aside from doing his business, I would like for my character to cast Detect Magic to check whether the cards are magically enchanted or not.))
((I do not expect for them to be enchanted. I feel like this is genuinely just a skill issue of not noticing that the cards were modified. Arius is just petty, lmao.))
Does he know what the potential significance of the bead is?
The young man scratches the back of his neck, his cheeks flushing red in embarrassment. “We were crossing a stream a few miles west of here, and I slipped on the bridge and fell in… took a chunk of railing with me, I think the wood might’ve been rotted. Good thing it was pretty shallow.”
The cards appear to be completely non-magical. (There are technically a few items with a magic aura in the tavern, but all of them seem to be fairly minor – a potion being carried by another traveler, and the like.)
Your character isn’t sure – it doesn’t correspond to (for example) any religious tradition he’s ever heard of.
The loser (i.e., my character) cries internally, before going back inside the tavern to play another round.
((Can I roll a perception check to have my character learn whether the cards are modified or not?))
“That’s unfortunate to hear.” He gives a sympathetic expression.
“I assume you came here to get help. Where was your group headed to?”
(Yes, you can!)
