Maybe I should just ask it then go…

…But that’s not very subtle. They’ll think I’m a bigger weirdo. Than they already think I am. And talk about me. Then it’ll get around that people are looking into the baron and…

Scar Guy shuffles the deck and starts to deal out another hand. He seems to be assuming you’ll be continuing to play; you could still leave, but if you don’t say something or move to go the next round will start.

You have great luck with your cards, and you play an incredibly skillful hand… but just when you think you’ve got this round in the bag, Scar Guy lays down the Archmage of Cups, completing one of the most highest-scoring hands in the game.

“Good game!” he says. “You were really close, you’ll get it next time!”

Once she crosses the threshold, Canary breathes a sigh of relief, for not having to be in there anymore, and one in anger, for not gaining any information.

(Does Canary want to do anything else before we re-pause your thread of the timeline on the grounds that you’re ahead in time of everyone else?)

Canary returns back to her bench, replaying all the different ways she could’ve brought up the Baron in her mind.

Zelsh knew the time for talk aas over as he tried slashing ths guard with a power attack.

Wanderer idly utters the word.

“Spooky.”

Wanderer, upon hearing this, will walk off in the direction of the old pewter building to reconstruct the direction of the rest of the group.

As he begins walking, he’ll loudly mention that he has distinctly bad vibes about this so rushing is likely the thing to do.

Paprika follows behind.
